Article 1 — Scope
These terms apply to moving, cargo transport and shopping assistance services (the “Services”) provided by 東京軽便 (“we” or “us”).
Article 2 — Transport terms
Japan’s Standard Light Motor Truck Moving Terms apply to moves, and the Standard Light Motor Truck Transport Terms apply to other cargo transport. Those transport terms prevail if they conflict with these terms.
Article 3 — Quotes
Quotes are free and include the matters required by Article 3 of the transport terms. A site visit may be charged only with prior agreement. No deposit or earnest money is required.
Article 4 — Contract formation
The contract is formed when you agree to the quote.
Article 5 — Refusal & restrictions
We do not accept cash, valuables, hazardous goods, animals or plants, pianos, artwork and similar items; requests for waste disposal or involving alcohol sales; or requests contrary to law.
Article 6 — Your cooperation
Finish packing, lead the carrying in and out (with assistance from one worker), be present, secure access routes and parking, and notify building management. If you would like us to handle the carrying, an additional fee will be quoted separately.
Article 7 — Charges & payment
Charges follow our tariff and quote. Payment is due when work is complete (in advance for shopping assistance).
Article 8 — Confirmation three days before pickup
We will check for changes to the quoted details at least three days before pickup.
Article 9 — Cancellation & postponement
The cancellation policy and Article 21 of the transport terms apply.
Article 10 — Shopping assistance
We purchase goods on your behalf. Goods are charged at cost and original receipts are provided. Out-of-stock items are refunded. Chilled and frozen goods are delivered the same day in insulated boxes. We are not responsible for deterioration caused by your inability to receive them.
Article 11 — Compensation
Loss, damage or delay is compensated under Article 22 and subsequent provisions of the transport terms and within our insurance coverage. We are not liable for damage caused by your intent or negligence, the nature of the goods or inadequate packing.
Article 12 — Prohibited conduct
False declarations, failure to declare hazardous goods, nuisance to third parties and similar conduct are prohibited.

Our privacy policy applies.
Article 14 — Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. Changes take effect when published on this site.
Article 15 — Governing law & jurisdiction
Japanese law applies. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive agreed jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
